30 Days

28 Jul

Most. Exciting. News. Yet.

Maybe not the most exciting but it is up there. Mark and I are about to make the biggest purchase of our marriage -well of either of our lives really! Just yesterday we had an offer accepted on a little house in Ripon and we are in escrow! Thirty days from yesterday we will be homeowners.

Wild.

I am already shopping.

We are super excited because there is nothing major that we have to do right away BUT there are lots of little things that we can do to fix it up. Imagine Easter egg, multi-colored pastel walls – withe every room/ area a different light colored hue, with a horrid bright orange and red granite floor. For the life of me I cannot recall a time when that ever went together or was in style. Add in baby locks on EVERYTHING IMAGINABLE. We will have some work to do.

I am getting ahead of myself. I suppose we should officially own the place before I start pulling up ugly granite. I am still learning patience.

Pictures and renovations to come after my 30 days of (semi) patience.

For now, we are getting ready to say goodbye to our little rental. And the crap air conditioning it provides in 104 degree heat.

Life before changes. Old car, (soon to be old) house.
